Over 17,000 RGB Pixel lights synched to music. In 2019, our road had a friendly Christmas Light contest and our house came in tied for 2nd place. Which was amazing because I just didn't have the time to put out as many lights as I wanted to. During our family Christmas dinner my stepson, Pete, said to me: "We will do whatever it takes next year to take that 1st prize". Granted, he has his own place but just likes some friendly competition. I showed him some pixel light show videos and he said "Let's do it!"

For Valentines day I created a heart out of pixel lights, and it was pretty cool. It was a start and some of the neighbors commented saying, "I feel like this is a start to what isgoing to happen in December." Inside we were chuckling as I had ordered a bunch of lights, power supplies, controllers, etc. We were ready!

Unfortunately, our lives were turned upside down when my stepson Pete was purposely run down by another person on I-70. In November, my wife said "do what you can do with the lights, Pete will be very happy." I was talking to Pete before Thanksgiving and said "the light show isn't going to be what we talked about, but I will try" and his little brother (11 yrs old) said "Pete, don't worry. I will help dad and get this done. I got your back just like brothers are supposed to do." This melted my heart like you wouldn't believe.

So, if you have extra time this holiday season, please make a short trip out to Morris Rd. (past Bradley HS) and check out the light show at the 2nd curve and be sure to tune your radios to 91.1 FM. The show is about 45 minutes, and if there are a lot of people, I can come out and turn a speaker on. I try to run the show from 5:30p - 10:30p, My main goal is to put smiles on the faces of people. It was a terrible year, but hopefully this will bring holiday cheer to all. Any thoughts of prayers or strength of Pete to help him with his recovery are appreciated.
